BiographyBorn: New York City, 1961. Both of Bob's parents are United States Citizens by birth. All of Bob's Grandparents were also United States Citizens. Bob is proud to be a 3rd generation American. Bob graduated High School in 1979 from Brooklyn Technical High School. He joined The United States Air Force and remained on active duty for 11 years, July 1979 to June 1990. (Also served one year in the Air National Guard at Dobbins AFB in Marietta, GA). He obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He received many awards, letters of commendation, and certificates while in the service. Family: Bob has been married to Gay C. Rodriguez for 22 years and has 3 children. Bob and his family moved to Georgia in 1990 after being honorably discharged from active military duty.

Employment: Bob has been a Probation Officer since 1995. He transferred to Dalton in 1999 from Rockdale County while working for BI/CCS Probation. He joined Alternative Probation Services in 2001, where he is currently the Senior Probation Officer / Operations Manager. Bob deals with Judges, Court officials, and Law Enforcement personnel on a daily basis. He sees first hand the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse. He sees how bad the results can be. Bob has supervised thousands of individuals over the years and has made a positive influence on the lives of many. Bob manages and oversees the day to day operations for Alternative Probation Services. He prepares and submits warrants for approval, he prepares modifications and revocations, and he presents probation revocation cases in court. He counsels and assists probationers and helps them successfully complete their cases. Education: High School Diploma, Associate of Arts in Refrigeration Air Conditioning Technology through the Community College of the Air Force, Associate of Arts through University of Maryland, and a Bachelor's Degree in History/Psychology through University of Maryland with a 3.78 GPA. Several military training certificates on multiple subjects from Decontamination Unit Operations to Rapid Runway Repair and many many others. Graduated from Non Commissioned Officer Leadership school, Keesler AFB, Mississippi in 1984. He also recently completed the Paralegal Certificate program through Dalton State College. Civic Involvement: Active member American Legion Post 112, Chairman Whitfield County Zoning Board of Appeals, Past First Vice Chairman of the Whitfield County Republican Party, Past member of Dalton Civitan Club, Member of Rockbridge Community Church, Assistant Coach of Westside Rhinos baseball team in 2003, 3rd base coach Westside Braves baseball team 2004, Frequent attendee of County Commission meetings since August 2003. Past board member of ACLA (Latin American Community Alliance. Mission trip to The Dominican Republic 2007. Went with a construction crew to help repair a dormitory building in preparation for an AWANA type youth camp. Family's Community Involvement: Two children attending Dalton State College, Michael and Robby have played Basketball through First Kids (First Baptist Church), both have played County recreation Baseball with the Westside leagues. Michael is on the praise and worship team at FBC, Michael and Heather are members of several student organizations at DSC, Gay Carol Rodriguez is a stay at home mom who home schools, is a sales representative for "Safe Hands" instant hand sanitizer products, and has designed the cards and the brochures used for the Truth To Teens program in Dalton. She has also created web sites and does many other activities too numerous to list. Bob is always ready to help promote conservative principals and ideals.
